At the Kabbalah Institute, we believe that a deep understanding of Jewish philosophy and prophecy is essential to a complete understanding of Kabbalah and the path to a closer relationship with God. That’s why we are proud to have Rabbi Shimshon, the head of the institute, as our teacher for Jewish philosophy and prophecy.
Rav Shimshon had rabbinical training under the Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Rav Yehoshua Yagel who was the top talmid of the Chazon Ish.
Rav Shimshon is aslo a descendant of the renowned European rabbis, the Chasam Sofer and Rav Akiva Eiger.
At the age of nine, Sofer entered the yeshiva of Rabbi Nathan Adler at Frankfurt, a kabbalist known for his strict and unusual ritual practices. Rav Shimshon’s Siddur Sha’ar Ruach HaKodesh (currrently being sold online for over $600) dating back 500 years is a masterpiece of a siddur for anyone involved in Kabbalah and the Jewish mystical tradition. Based on the 214 Yichuddim of Shaar Ruach Hakodesh and 62 Yichuddim of Shaar Hayichuddim, as well as the 72 Tzeirufim of angels dispersed throughout the siddur based on the Chida’s system, this siddur is one of the most unique of its kind.
Rav Shimshon’s Siddur has gained a reputation as a powerful tool for deepening one’s prayer experience. Its use of Kabbalistic concepts and techniques is unprecedented, and many renowned Kabbalists have started implementing it into their daily prayers.
What sets this siddur apart is the number of endorsements it has received from some of the most prominent Rabbis in the Jewish community. Over 10 hasKamot have been written by Gedolei Yisroel, including both Rishon Letzion’s(Rav Shlomo Amar, Rav Yitschak Yosef) and the biggest Ashkenazi Kabbalist of this generation, Rav Morgenstern. These hasKamot attest to the Siddur’s importance and efficacy in helping people connect more deeply with their prayers.
Rav Shimshon’s Siddur is a true masterpiece of Kabbalistic thought and Jewish spirituality. Its use of ancient wisdom in modern times is a testament to the power of the Jewish mystical tradition to speak to people of all generations.

Rav Shimshon’s klaf, or scroll, is a powerful tool for those seeking to enhance their spiritual connection. It combines the 72 names with 216 angels’ names from Parshas Beshalach, chapter 14 verses 19,20,21, based on the Musayof System from the book Hoshvei Shemo. This system was used by Moses to split the Red Sea, perform boundless miracles, and achieve the highest levels of prophecy possible for man.
The Mishnah Berurah 59:1 (see the Be’er Heitev), Siddur Shaar Ruach Hakodesh p.194, and Zohar – Teruma p.164:b all speak of angels praying in tandem with humans, and Rav Shimshon’s klaf incorporates this concept.
The use of this klaf can greatly enhance one’s prayer experience by bringing the power of angels and the 72 names into the fold. It is a unique and powerful tool that has the potential to deepen one’s spiritual connection and unlock new levels of insight and understanding.

Rav Shimshon’s expertise in Rabbi Abraham Abulafia’s meditation system is a unique aspect of his shiurim. He delivers practical head movements that can help one commune with angels. This is based on Chayei Olam Haba 69, Ohr Hasechel P.105, Albotini’s Sulam HaAliyah chapter 9, and Aryeh Kaplan’s book “Meditation & Kabbalah” pages 87-92.
Rabbi Abraham Abulafia was a medieval Kabbalist who developed a system of meditation based on the use of letters and their combinations. This system was designed to help practitioners achieve heightened states of consciousness and connect with the divine.
Rav Shimshon’s incorporation of Abulafia’s meditation system into his shiurim is a testament to his deep understanding of Kabbalah and his desire to help others connect with the divine. By teaching practical head movements that correspond to different letters and combinations, he is providing his students with a tangible way to deepen their spiritual practice.
